Babar Azam set for return as Pakistan prepare for Lord’s Test against England

Pakistan received a major boost ahead of the second Test against England after captain Babar Azam made a positive return to batting practice following a finger injury. Babar missed Pakistan’s opening Test at Headingley, where England secured a commanding innings-and-103-run victory to take a 1–0 lead in the three-match series.

Pakistan bowling coach Umar Gul said Babar completed a full batting session and looked in good form during training. His potential return at Lord’s could provide Pakistan with a much-needed boost after their batting struggled badly in the first Test.

The second Test is scheduled to begin at Lord’s on August 27, with Pakistan looking to level the series and England aiming to extend their advantage.
