Mitchell Starc Dethrones Jasprit Bumrah as No. 1 Test Bowler

Bumrah, Henry and Cummins Among ICC Test Bowling Elite

Australia's Mitchell Starc has reached the No. 1 position in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings for the first time in his career, ending Jasprit Bumrah's latest spell at the top. Starc's rise follows his sensational 10-wicket match haul against Bangladesh in Mackay, where Australia secured an innings-and-51-run victory.

Starc produced figures of 6/12 and 4/39 in the second Test, earning both Player of the Match and Player of the Series honours. He now leads Bumrah by 10 rating points. Bumrah drops to second, while New Zealand's Matt Henry remains close behind in third.

Bumrah's latest reign at No. 1 lasted around two months, although his combined time at the summit has reached 697 days, the most by an Indian bowler and the 14th-most in Test history.
